I started my shop 2 years ago, I had been working there for a few months and I was loving every second of it. I was a natural at interacting with kids, and my crafty side was always itching to make something for them that would improve their pretend-play experience. I started looking on etsy for fabrics and fell in love with all the adorable fabric options I had, I bought a few yards but I didnt know what to make. One day while baking some cupcakes for the kids I looked at my old plain apron and decided to make one for me with the beautiful fabrics from etsy. Once my apron was done I knew I had to make some for the kids, I made 14 in total...14!!! that's a lot specially if you're barely learning how to sew but i took my chances.

The aprons were a success, they used them while painting huge cardboard Christmas trees for our December recital, they would use them to play restaurant, they used them while baking cookies, while gardening and some of the girls pretended the aprons were their princess dresses.

after that I got a couple orders from moms because they wanted to give them out as favors at birthday parties, and a few daycare centers contacted me and asked if I could do some for them too. It's taken a while but I finally have an apron design that I love and that works and not only do I love sewing and making aprons but this hobby is close to my heart because the profit I get for them is going straight into a mortgage fund and hopefully one day I can open my own daycare center where the main focus will be...BAKING!
